Sand Cakes
When life gives you sand...make sand cakes. The girls came up with this idea one afternoon. Haysannah decided that they should decorate the cakes so they used their resources around them. I was quite impressed! She has been talking about lately about making recipes and adding that special ingredient.

Sun and Shadows
We explored a little about the sun and shadows. We placed toys on construction paper and let it sit out in the sun for a few hours. When we took the toy off the paper we had a sunprint. Pretty neat!
We outlined their shadows on the cement then checked back a few hours later and found that their shadows were smaller and had rotated on the cement. This opened up a discussion about how the earth rotates around the sun.
